Transparent fees.
Free to start a fundraiser. Clear fees taken only from donations received — never a hidden charge.
How our fees are calculated
Our fee combines two parts: a platform percentage that is the same for every donation, and an additional percentage that depends on the payment method the donor used (mobile money, card). A minimum floor applies per currency to cover very small donations. Fees are deducted the moment a donation is confirmed, never before, and your dashboard always shows the gross amount received and the net amount after fees.
| Fee | Rate | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Start a fundraiser | Free | No subscription, no setup fee, no minimum balance. |
| Platform fee | 0.0% | Deducted from every approved donation, regardless of payment method. |
| Mobile money payment | +0.0% | Vodacom M-Pesa, Orange Money, Airtel Money, Africell Money — an additional percentage depending on the channel. |
| Card payment | +0.0% | An additional percentage when the donation is made by card. |
| Minimum floor | 0.00 USD / 0 CDF | The fee never drops below this floor, even on a very small donation. |
Why fees exist
Mobile money networks charge costs both when money comes in and when it goes out, and our payment partner applies its own processing fees. Our platform fee covers those costs along with running YabisoFund itself (hosting, support, verifying organizers' identity) — never hidden in fine print.
What our fees don't cover
Our fee gets the money onto the organizer's mobile money wallet, in full. Once it's there, the carriers (Vodacom, Orange, Airtel, Africell) apply their own fees when you cash out at an agent or send the money to another wallet. That's between you and your provider — we have no visibility or control over it.
