Cookie Policy

Two technical cookies, no advertising trackers. The honest list of what we set and why.

Last updated: 16/10/2026

The short version

We use two cookies, both needed for YabisoFund to work: a session cookie that keeps you signed in and remembers your language, and a security cookie that protects forms against fraudulent submissions. We don't use any advertising cookie, third-party tracker, or audience-analytics tool. Mobile money payment happens entirely through a confirmation prompt on your phone: your browser never leaves YabisoFund, and no cookie from our payment partner is ever set.

Every cookie we set

This is the full list. If you spot a cookie on this site that isn't in it, contact us — either we missed it, or a browser extension of yours added it.

Name Purpose Lifetime Category
ci_session Keeps you signed in across pages and remembers your language choice (French/English). Cleared when you sign out. 2 hours (refreshed automatically while you browse) Strictly necessary
csrf_cookie_name Protects forms (sign-in, donation, withdrawal) against submissions forged from another site. Session length Strictly necessary

What a cookie is, in one sentence

A cookie is a small piece of information your browser stores so a site can recognize you on your next request. The table above lists every cookie YabisoFund sets, what it contains, and how long it lives.

How to refuse or delete cookies

Every modern browser lets you block or delete cookies, usually under Settings → Privacy. If you block our session cookie, you can still browse public fundraisers, but you will not be able to stay signed in, start a fundraiser, or make a donation. Both cookies are strictly necessary for the site to work, so neither requires prior consent.

Third-party services that may set their own cookies

Today, none. Mobile money payment happens server-to-server and is confirmed through a prompt on your phone: you never leave YabisoFund during payment, so no cookie is ever set in your browser. If this changes in the future, this page will be updated before any such change ships.

Changes to this page

If we add, remove, or substantially change the purpose of a cookie, the table above is the first place we update. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page changes every time.
